Hello everyone!
I’m really excited about starting my own blog. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do since I found out that they existed. I started this blog basically to discuss my ideas on foreign languages. I see myself as a foreign language lover. Over the years, I have found an insatiable desire to learn as many languages as I can. I find dead languages like Samaritan Hebrew very intriguing. Currently, I speak Spanish, French, some German, Italian, Portuguese. I plan on learning Arabic, Hebrew, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, and a Slavic language in the future. The first language that I seriously endeavored to learn was Spanish. I have been enamored by it since my childhood when I heard people on television and the radio speaking or singing it. One of my aunts bought me a Spanish grammar and vocabulary book and a dictionary and I began to learn the language. When I was 17, I got my first chance to use the language in Honduras. I am still a student this beautiful, mellifluous tongue and I prefer to stay that way. I think that people who go around bragging that they have mastered a foreign language completely are conceited. One can never truly say that he or she has completely learned a foreign language completely. I am still searching for fluency in all of these languages and one day soon, I will find it. Until then, I will continue studying and learning. Thanks be to God for giving me the gift of languages.
